EA DICE Expanding to Assist With Single-Player Battlefield Game

Battlefield’s next single-player campaign is a big deal for EA DICE, as they are reportedly building a new team to support Ridgeline Games in creating the franchise’s first single-player campaign since Battlefield V in 2018. It looks like a big focal point.

Ridgeline games is a new studio led by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto. The studio was set up last fall to create a new story his campaign set in the Battlefield universe.Reporter GI.Bizthe new support team is a slight change in the course of the previously established plans for the Battlefield series.

EA has entrusted the future of Battlefield to three studios. DICE is responsible for the multiplayer aspects, Ridgeline Games is working on his single-player campaign, and Ripple Effect is creating a “completely different” Battlefield experience. Today, DICE is expanding to support Ridgeline Games’ campaigns while continuing to work on multiplayer.

We just heard last December that former Battlefield 4 producer David Sirland has returned to DICE to lead the development of Battlefield. In addition to producing Battlefield 4, Saarand’s long history with the franchise includes credits for Battlefield 2, Bad His Company, 1, and V.

Battlefield’s last entry was Battlefield 2042 in 2021, to a lukewarm reception. Couldn’t pull in. EA is still releasing new content for Battlefield 2042, and Season 4 is slated to begin on his February 28th. .
