Firewall Ultra Announced for PlayStation VR2

Firewall comes to PlayStation VR2 in Firewall Ultra.

The sequel to Firewall: Zero Hour, the VR-based FPS gets a little upgrade for PS5, taking advantage of all-new PSVR2 features to improve the formula.

“Firewall Ultra takes advantage of new PlayStation VR 2 Sense Technology features such as eye tracking, which allows intuitive weapon swapping and HUD indicators via the PSVR 2 headset’s built-in camera. You can do that,” says Firewall Community Manager Frank Marm.

Sony’s PlayStation VR2 will be released in early 2023 and will include all the notable upgrades compared to the original PSVR.

As well as eye tracking, the PSVR2 boasts a 2000×2040 OLED display. each Eyes with a refresh rate of up to 120hz and a field of view of 110 degrees.

It sits on top of a new VR controller that looks pretty cool, including haptic feedback.

And when it comes to Firewall Ultra, developer First Contact Entertainment seems to be planning to take full advantage of the headset’s new and improved fidelity.

“PSVR 2 offers a much higher level of visual fidelity with 4K HDR, so we completely reworked all character models,” said Marm. “The map has also been completely overhauled, adding new areas and new textures.”

Set five years after the original game, there are also plenty of new locations and contractors…not to mention weapons and gear that promise a “much deeper” level of customization.
