Guerrilla has confirmed that he is working on a multiplayer game set in the Horizon universe, and will feature an all-new cast of characters and a new art style.

“Featuring a new cast of characters and uniquely stylized looks, friends can explore the majestic Milds of Horizon together,” it said.
Rumors hinting at a multiplayer Horizon game surfaced earlier this year, but this is the first time Guerrilla has confirmed such plans for a machine hunting series.

Guerrilla said in a Twitter post that he “continues to create an epic solo adventure for Aloy,” so we can only assume that a third mainline Horizon game is also planned.
However, this new multiplayer project isn’t the first game to expand the world of Horizon. In February, the PSVR 2 headset will debut in Horizon: Call of the Mountain. This is the developer’s colorful post-apocalyptic virtual representation of his reality.
