Marvel’s Avengers Lead Designer Removed as Spokesperson After Offensive Tweets Surface

Crystal Dynamics has decided that the lead designer for Marvel’s Avengers is no longer a spokesperson for the company after fans spotted several offensive tweets even before he worked there.

Brian Wagoner, one of the Avengers’ most public figures, tweeted racist, homophobic, misogynist, and ableist comments from 2010 to circa 2017. It turns out.

As reported by PC gamerWagoner deleted most of the tweets, apologizing for his actions and saying they no longer reflect his personal opinions.

The tweets included jokes based on racist stereotypes, far-right issues such as former US President Barack Obama’s citizenship rights, and insults aimed at people with disabilities.

“Last weekend, an old tweet I wrote before spending time at Crystal resurfaced. I apologize and take full responsibility for the hurt I caused my followers, community and those I work with.” Wagoner said in a tweet (above)…

“Since then, I have learned and grown, but the content I post does not reflect who I am today. I understand that you cannot accept my apology because of the pain I have caused. I will continue to listen, learn and work to improve myself.”

Crystal Dynamics tweeted, citing Wagoner’s apology. Become a studio spokesperson or communicate about studio projects. ”
