Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Also Confirmed for Xbox and PC

Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake isn’t just for the PlayStation 5. Following his PlayStation Showcase stream today, Konami issued a press release in which he also confirmed that the new project (titled Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater) will also be coming to Xbox. console and PC.

This is big news for Xbox and PC fans, especially since Metal Gear Solid has historically had strong ties to Sony. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was originally confirmed to be coming to the PlayStation 5 at today’s PlayStation Showcase, with other platforms later revealed.

First unveiled in a CG trailer during the PlayStation showcase, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (pronounced “Metal Gear Solid Delta”) is the first of its kind since Hideo Kojima left Konami after the release of Metal Gear Solid 5. It’s the first official Metal Gear Solid game. Several in-game screenshots have since been released revealing in-game graphics.

There is precedent for Metal Gear Solid to be released on Steam. Metal Gear Solid 5 was released on his platform alongside consoles in 2015. Fans have taken the opportunity to create numerous mods of him, including replacing Snake with Keanu Reeves.

No matter which platform you experience it on, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater promises to be a faithful recreation of the original game, including an implementation of the original voice acting featuring David Hayter.

No release date has been set for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but it is expected to come out in 2024. Check out the full recap of everything announced at today’s PlayStation Showcase.
