Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey Reveal Their Reactions to Seeing Clickers in The Last of Us HBO Series

Pedro Pascal and Vera Ramsey, stars of HBO’s The Last of Us series, shared their reaction to seeing the half-zombie, half-fungus-infused Clickers for the first time.

As revealed in a new interview with IGN (below), Pascal seemed to react somewhere between disgust and fear, while Ramsey found them somewhat beautiful.

“You were so sick of them,” they said to Pascal. I think that was terrifying.”

Pascal somewhat agrees, describing clickers (humans who act like zombies as a result of something called Cordyceps fungus growing out of their heads) as “giant flower nightmares.”

But while he was nauseated by the word “fungus,” Ramsay added: [the] Cordyceps infection is science-based. Theoretically it’s possible, and it’s also scary. “
