Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Trailers Seem to Hint at New Gym Theme

The second trailer of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveals new Pokemon, places and people, but more prominently suggests a potential Jim’s theme. What if Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Jim have an F1 theme? It could be MotoGP instead, but given the heavy car themes found between the new legendary Pokemon and other elements, there seems to be one.

Game Freak isn’t shy about leaving hints for upcoming announcements in the trailer. For example, in the first trailer, four Nintendo Switches appeared at one table, with the help of four collaborators. Below is an analysis of some screenshots from both the first and second trailers that make us believe that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature one of Spain’s most popular motorsports. And now, the legendary Pokemon literally has wheels sticking out of its chest.

Legendary Pokemon design

At first glance, only Pokemon Scarlet’s legendary box, Miridon, seems to be technology-related. In the second trailer, you can clearly see the legs of Miraidon’s jet engine moving and the digitized eyes. The mau, which may resemble scales, actually resembles carbon fiber upon closer inspection. Sure, jets are made primarily of carbon fiber, but so are F1 cars because of their great strength, durability, heat resistance, and incredible lightness.according to motorsport.comThe use of carbon fiber in F1 cars was newly developed in 1981 with the debut of the McLaren MP4 / 1. Previously, F1 cars were made from almost the same materials as regular cars. Obviously F1 cars in our world have wheels just like the average car, but the Miraidon here has evolved beyond those needs.

But it’s not Collideon. Scarlet’s Box Legendary looks completely naturalistic, except that the tires stick out of the chest. It’s not working in its current state, but it’s not unheard of for Pokemon to have different shapes. Maybe Collydon and Millidon will get a new form that makes them drivable. Can you ride Further speculation, we believe that Collideon can be transformed into an aquatic “vehicle” by its webbed limbs, and Millidon can be transformed into a kind of aerial “vehicle”. They could just be design motifs. Anyway, they are vehicle-related motifs.

A new kind of Pokemon Center

These structures appear to replace traditional Pokemon Centers, but are all easily accessible outdoor designs with an outdoor seating area.

It may appear in this design in some towns (shown below), but when viewed outdoors, it is always paved around. They are similar to “gas stations” and can act as “pit stops” for tired trainers and their Pokemon.

The attendants aren’t very clear, but it seems that there are at least two people in each. One of them looks like a nurse joy with pink hair and a hat. Below the counter are three different banners: blue, red and green. Blue can represent Pokemart items, red can represent Pokemon Center, and green can represent other items. Above the service counter is a wraparound screen with ads for everything from travel to shoes to tires.

Areas with tire ads?

It’s a little hard to understand, but behind our friend Nemona is an ad behind one of the Pokemon Center pit stops. Zoom in on the same ad behind her Pawmi to get a wider view. It looks like an ad for a particular brand or type of tire, with a black and yellow tread design behind the body.

Maybe the Qwilfish mascot hints at the extra grip the tires have in tricky terrain.

Gym space

If Game Freak follows a framework similar to Pokemon Sword and Shield, this proposed F1 theme is likely to be featured most prominently in Scarlet and Violet gyms. In this shot of a large castle town, the circular modern structure on the hill stands out not only in its design, but also in its place. F1 racing requires a lot of space. Is there a better place to use an oversized gym than the hills right next to the town? The screenshot completely hides what is behind the highest part of the building. The building itself looks small for a gymnasium, but if the building has a stand overlooking the gymnasium railroad tracks, its size makes sense.

The theme of Scarlet Jim and Violet Jim is F1 only, there is no actual race, but big questions remain. Why do you need so much space to fight Pokemon in this area? Sword and Shield Giganta Max took advantage of the height of the football stadium, but which mechanic will take advantage of F1’s space and implicit speed? This theme could be used purely for aesthetics.

Other tips

The crossed flag is a symbolic symbol of the race. These will appear in the second trailer along with what looks like other landmarks, perhaps the location of the gym, or other points of interest.

The second trailer also included the release of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet “full” logo designs. Both text logos have prominent borders featuring their legendary Pokemon profiles and four mysterious symbols. Interestingly, these logos look like glamorous license plates. Note that the details of the plate (upper right and upper left quarters, as well as the border pattern) also imitate the design of the legendary Pokemon. F1 cars don’t have license plates, but this is in line with the car theme.

This theme may be completely off the mark, but why does the Pokemon Center suddenly look like a gas station?
