The personal information of nearly 4,000 Roblox creators was leaked.

Troy Hunt, Engineer of Have I Been Pwned, Documented a data breach on Twitter on July 18 when the information becomes public. Hunt said Roblox reached out to those affected and promised a year of custody for the more severely affected victims.
“Roblox is aware of a third-party security issue that has indicated unauthorized access to limited personal information of some of our creator community. A Roblox spokesperson told IGN in an email, “We have dispatched an independent expert to assist with an investigation led by our information security team. We will continue to closely monitor and scrutinize the cybersecurity posture of Roblox and third-party vendors. “
No payment information was exposed, but personal information such as email addresses could be used in phishing campaigns to obtain further information, including hacking into online accounts and payment details. Public disclosure of sensitive information can also make individuals more vulnerable to identity theft.
