Six Years After Its Announcement, Beyond Good & Evil 2 Hires Its Lead Writer

Several years have passed since then Beyond Good and Evil 2 was officially announced. After no news for quite some time, the long-awaited new development of the game has finally arrived.They have hired a lead writer.

and Tweet Yesterday we announced that Sarah Arellano will be joining us as lead writer for the game. Arellano previously worked at World of Warcraft where she worked as a narrative designer for Blizzard, as well as at Volition, the studio responsible for Saints Row.

Ubisoft originally planned for the game’s beta to be available at the end of 2019but it never came to pass. Beyond Good & Evil 2 also lost a director in 2020leaving the game status even more up in the air.

Since then, The game was mentioned in UbiSoft’s earnings report, confirming that it still exists to some extent. Then, earlier this year, Reports came out that the game is still in the prototype stageHowever, the news that the game has acquired a lead writer is a good step forward.

The first Beyond Good & Evil received a 9/10 rating in reviews. We said it “tells its story with amazing pizazz and sophistication. Even better, it’s a story worth telling.”
