Square Enix Pokes Fun at Itself by Giving Away Infamous Low-Poly Grapes from Final Fantasy 14

Square Enix has officially joined Final Fantasy 14’s infamous low-poly grape joke, with the publisher planning to distribute a physical version of it at the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival.

Square Enix has announced a goods bag for attendees of the fan event to be held in Las Vegas on July 28-29. Among the random goodies in that bag is a physical version of Grapes that quickly became a meme upon the release of the Endwalker expansion.

The chunky portion of the DLC was generally loved by fans, but one piece of that environment featuring cubic vines caused the internet to explode in cumulative laughter.

FINAL FANTASY 14 Fan Festival ticket holders will receive an event-logoed crossbody bag, 10th anniversary pin, Ropolit Carrot pen, Grebrov magnet, and Azem crystal keychain along with grapes. .

It is unknown if these exact items will also be distributed at upcoming fan festivals in Europe and Japan.

In its review of the latest major expansion dated September 10, IGN stated, “Final Fantasy 14’s Endwalker expansion satisfactorily concludes the longest story arc and is one of the best Final Fantasy stories ever told. It will solidify its position as one of the stories.”
