Tears of the Kingdom Hints That Link and Zelda Are Finally in a Relationship

Since the start of The Legend of Zelda series, Nintendo has remained ambivalent about whether Zelda and Link are romantically involved or strictly friends (or siblings). However, Zelda’s voice actor has clearly hinted that the two are related, along with a key location in The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Tears.

of Interview with TheGamerZelda voice actress Patricia Somerset has revealed that she believes Zelda and Link have a romantic relationship.

“i know that [Link and Zelda] Relatable, active, a lot of care and a lot of listening, and I love that,” Somerset said.

But she also appreciates that Nintendo’s failure to check could leave things open to interpretation.

“As a voice actor, looking at the overall relationship between Link and Zelda over the years, I personally love the ambiguity of it, and if there’s something there, I like to leave it to us,” Somerset said. said. “I think I can honor and celebrate unconventional relationships in my own life.”

Will Link and Zelda fall in love?

Her claims about the relationship between Zelda and Link seem to be backed up by details of Zelda’s house in Hateno Village. It used to be Link’s home in Breath of the Wild. Inside Zelda’s house, the player finds a table with her two chairs and a plate, and a bed in which Link can sleep. This implies that the two share a house and bed. Link cannot sleep in a bed or inn other than his own.

Zelda also has a secret well behind his house, where he keeps Link’s hair tie between games. A diary kept in the well said of Link, “You will always be by my side.”

However, this relationship is only hinted at by environmental design and never formally confirmed in conversation.
