Tears of the Kingdom: Zelda and Ganondorf Amiibos Announced During Nintendo Direct

Two new amiibo have been added to Tears of the Kingdom. One for Zelda and one for Ganondorf. Announced during today’s Nintendo Direct, the two amiibos join the already released Tears of the Kingdom-linked amiibo.

Zelda’s amiibo depicts the heroine of the series wielding the master sword, and is likely to be very popular with fans. Ganondorf, on the other hand, is lunging forward and looks handsome overall.

It’s not clear what gameplay benefits the two new Amiibo figures will bring, but they’ll at least look very nice on the shelf. Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Tears of the Kingdom DLC has yet to materialize.

But either way, Tears of the Kingdom should still be relevant when these two characters arrive for this holiday. Nintendo’s long-awaited Breath of the Wild sequel is widely hailed as a masterpiece based on the original in every way, and a vibrant community continues to experiment with its deep and engaging physics system.

In addition to Amiibo, the Nintendo Direct included Super Mario RPG Remake, Super Mario Wonder, Pikmin 4, and more. You can see all announced lists here.
