Twitter's API Changes Appear to Have Caused Microsoft to Disable Xbox Console Screenshot Sharing

Due to Twitter’s recent API changes, Microsoft appears to have disabled the sharing of screenshots and clips on Xbox consoles and via Game Bar on Windows. Fortunately, the ability to upload to Twitter via the Xbox app still works.

Xbox Twitter account responds to users tweeting about their problems trying to upload screenshots to social media platforms, including @ShadowBoy662 who was unable to share their Minecraft content.

"We had to disable the ability to share game uploads directly to Twitter from consoles and Game Bar on Windows." The Xbox Twitter account wrote: "You can also share your favorite moments on Twitter using the Xbox apps for Android and iOS."

After April 25th, Twitter will no longer be supported, but other platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn will continue as normal.
