CrossfireX Will Be Shutting Down in May

Remedy Entertainment and Smilegate have announced that they will be discontinuing CrossfireX on May 18, 2023. The announcement comes just before the game’s one-year anniversary, which was released on the Xbox Series and Xbox One on February 10, 2022.

CrossfireX development team said in a statement.

“It was not an easy decision to come to, but our players have been incredibly proactive, passionate, and enthusiastic about working with us to create a fun and enjoyable game for everyone. We are proud to have created it, and we would like to thank all the players who played CrossfireX and joined us on this journey.

The game has already been disabled for sale on the Xbox store and no new content will be added to the game such as maps, modes, or camos. Additionally, purchases made within the last 14 days as of February 3, 2023 are eligible for a refund.

In the meantime, players can continue to enjoy the game until the service ends in May. The in-game store will remain open, but the option to purchase premium currency will be disabled. Players can still spend their remaining currency.

CrossfireX is the latest live service game to announce its shutdown this week. Rumbleverse and Knockout City, Crimesight and Apex Legends Mobile will also be offline later this year.

In IGN’s CrossfireX singleplayer and multiplayer review, he said, “CrossfireX’s pair of single-player shooter campaigns are sloppy, soulless, and ruthlessly terse.” Free to play. ”
