The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog: New Sonic Game Gets Surprise Release on Steam
Sega loves to surprise Sonic fans, so they surprised everyone by releasing a new murder mystery title featuring Blue Blur and his friends, The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, for free on Steam.
Sonic’s social media team today announced a stunning new game. launch trailer, to view the game in visual novel format. The team wrote that the game is “a labor of love for Sonic Social, his team and the many amazingly talented people who are as passionate about Sonic as we are”.
In Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose is throwing a murder mystery-themed birthday party for all her friends aboard the Mirage Express. You play as a new character, a new crew member who happens to be on the train for the first day, and team up with characters such as Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Rouge to solve the mystery behind Sonic’s murder.
Interrogate everyone, including the host himself, about what happened to Sonic, play mini-games on the handheld, and meet the conductor who plans to retire after working for the Mirage Express for several years. It makes you wonder if the death was part of the game or if it was malicious.

Mysterious game following Sega teased I mean, that was taking Sonic in a new direction. No one thought the new Sonic game would be a visual novel.
